ACTIVITIES
As well as workshops and shows we have a few other fun festival events taking place we think you'll love!

Late Night Jams
Join us in Monkey Barrel from 11:15pm on Friday and Saturday night (6th and 7th March) and jam!

Stick your name in the bucket and jump on stage when your name is called. Perform scenes and practice all the techniques you learned that day in workshops.

They're fun. They're loud. They're memorable!

They're also free entry! And there's a bar!

Opening Night Social
Get to Edinburgh on the Thursday? After The First Beat join us in The Barrel Bar at Monkey Barrel where we'll be having an informal get together. Say hello. Meet new faces. Get ready for the weekend ahead!

If you haven't already - grab a ticket to The First Beat where we'll be kicking off the festival with an incredible line-up of improvisers, all hosted by the hilarious MC Hammersmith.

End of Festival Ceilidh
Once the final show of the festival is over - the party begins!

We'll be taking over MB3 with a live ceilidh band. Get free entry with your Performer Wristband or show us any ticket to an EIIF 2026 event.

Don't know the moves? Don't worry! We'll talk you through the dances, and if all else fails grab one of the nearest Scots as a dance partner. They'll keep you right.

It's a lot of twirling. It's a lot of spinning. It's a lot of fun!

Blood on the Clocktower

Sunday, March 8 | 10AM-12PM

Not in a workshop on Sunday morning of the fest? Fancy a game of deception, death and Good versus Evil?

Join us in the Barrel Bar for a thrilling game of Blood on the Clocktower!

Will the Townsfolk survive or will they each fall victim to the Demon hiding amongst them in plain sight? Everyone gets a part to play, and death is not the end, giving you plenty of chances to accuse and murder friends and strangers alike!

Whether you are a seasoned Demon hunter or completely new to the game, your Storyteller Mara Joy (No Rolls Barred) will lead you through a session of the greatest social deduction game ever made. Win or lose, you will never trust anyone again!

Up to 15 people can play.

Mara Joy – the redheaded one from the Scottish Comedy Award winning Spontaneous Players – is a stand-up, improviser and all-round comedy idiot. She was a regular at Monkey Barrel Comedy’s alternative night, The OTHER Show, and was a semi-finalist in the Funny Women Awards 2023 and LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year 2024. You can also regularly find her playing Blood on the Clocktower in many places on the internet. Mostly, she just does stupid comedy about stupid things.
